Nokia wants back in…

Well it looks like Nokia wants to get it’s gain back in the cellphone business.

ESPOO, Finland — When Google announced plans in October to revolutionize the software of cellular phones, few were more eager to hear the details than the industry veterans at Nokia. They still are.

“We’ve seen an announcement,” Nokia’s chief executive, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, said with more than a hint of sarcasm. “Conceptually, we could have made that announcement a long time ago.”

My first cellphone was a Nokia. It was great. It had all I could want in a cellphone at age 15. It made calls, had a calculator, and even some games. Now I am a little more advanced with my Palm 755p Cellphone.

Sounds like Nokia has an opportunity to gain back some share of the market. I look forward to seeing what happens.
