Hope Lives begins today.

We are beginning a neat series at Richmond Community Church and HighImpactChurch.tv online. This series is about having compassion. Compassion n. Deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it.

Hope Lives is a church wide experience, the children and youth are also discussing Hope Lives. The other cool part is we are having small groups to discuss the message in more detail. HighImpactChurch.tv is also having a Small Group on Monday nights at 7pm EST. This is a great way to discuss compassion with some other like minded people.

Join us as we talk about Hope Lives online.

I’m back!

Dear Blogging World,

I have decided to return to the blogging scene. I took some time off due to a crazy busy school, work, and church schedule this past fall/winter. It’s still crazy busy but I feel the need to blog.

So what I have done…
I began shooting video for HighImpactChurch.tv – The Internet Campus I direct/run/lead.
I ran a huge community changing group last semester, Front Porch Partners, class project but really did work
I have been trying to get a company of the ground, 804 Media Works (E-mail me if you need any video work done)
I worked on some contracts for Amazon.com for HighImpactLiving.com, successful!

There’s a ton more but I will get to that later.

So here’s what I got going now…
Virginia Commonwealth University – Student – Last official semester
HighImpactChurch.tv – Campus Director – Great Internet Campus Services for the World
Richmond Community Church – Technology Director – Great Live Services in Richmond, VA
HighImpactLiving.com – Business Director – Life relevant messages from Rick McDaniel

I hope you will continue check back soon as I will be trying to blog every couple of days as possible.

Good Friday and Easter Services are done!!!

I am so glad these services are done…

They all were great!!!

We had tons of people and lots of lives saved…

All Bibles were taken and Getting Started packets were taken.

There were 55 adults and 10 children saved Easter weekend!

Internet Campuses Unite…

Well yesterday I was a part of a historical meeting… Yesterday was the first ever Internet Campus Roundtable… Two years ago no one had ever heard of Internet Campuses or even knew what was coming to the local church…

There were some really great churches in this conference call meeting…

Anthony Burns –  Richmond Community Church (Richmond, VA)
Brad Singleton – Seacoast (Mount Pleasant, SC)
Brandon Buckner – McLean Bible (McLean, VA)
Brian Vasil – Flamingo Road (Cooper City, FL)
Justin Meeker – Quest Community Church (Lexington, KY)
Mike Sharpe – New Hope Community (Honolulu, HI)
Steve Lawrence – Real Life Fellowship (Corpus Christi, TX)
Brandon Donaldson – LifeChurch.tv (Edmond, OK)

Yesterday was the first time we had all talked together… We discussed many topics and plan on hosting a monthly conference call to discuss Internet Campuses…

I was really glad I got to be a part of this conference call meeting and historical moment…

LCTV – Day 2

Well Day 1 with the guys from LCTV was great…

We woke up early this morning and met with Brian at 8 AM… He gave us some more insight to LCTV and how they operate…

We saw the 8:30 AM service at Edmond… Trent Austin, Worship Leader, rocked out the house…

Then at 9:30 AM we connected with Brandon Dondaldson, IC Pastor, and his team… We got to see all the behind the scenes stuff with Internet Campus… They have really got it going on for their Internet Campus… We also ran into Terry Storch again and talked with him for a minute…

After that we headed to the South OKC Campus… I really liked this campus… It used to be a Lowe’s style hardware store that they converted into a campus… The P/W team at this campus was awesome… We connected with a lady named Liz and she talked to us about LifeGroups and LifeMissions… She was a great person to talk to since she had been at the church over 10 years…

Overall I felt like the whole trip was great! LifeChurch.tv and their crew was very helpful and resourceful… I look forward to seeing the impact they made on us in our own church… Thanks LifeChurch.tv!!!

Interesting article…

I was recently emailed an article about churches by a friend… I wanted to highlight some points in it…

The U.S. religious marketplace is extremely volatile, with nearly half of American adults leaving the faith tradition of their upbringing to either switch allegiances or abandon religious affiliation altogether, a new survey finds.

…mainline Protestant churches are in decline, non-denominational churches are gaining and the ranks of the unaffiliated are growing…

Although evangelical churches strive to win new Christian believers from the “unchurched,” the survey found most converts to evangelical churches were raised Protestant.
