I’m back!

Dear Blogging World,

I have decided to return to the blogging scene. I took some time off due to a crazy busy school, work, and church schedule this past fall/winter. It’s still crazy busy but I feel the need to blog.

So what I have done…
I began shooting video for HighImpactChurch.tv – The Internet Campus I direct/run/lead.
I ran a huge community changing group last semester, Front Porch Partners, class project but really did work
I have been trying to get a company of the ground, 804 Media Works (E-mail me if you need any video work done)
I worked on some contracts for Amazon.com for HighImpactLiving.com, successful!

There’s a ton more but I will get to that later.

So here’s what I got going now…
Virginia Commonwealth University – Student – Last official semester
HighImpactChurch.tv – Campus Director – Great Internet Campus Services for the World
Richmond Community Church – Technology Director – Great Live Services in Richmond, VA
HighImpactLiving.com – Business Director – Life relevant messages from Rick McDaniel

I hope you will continue check back soon as I will be trying to blog every couple of days as possible.

Sincerely,
Anthony

A bunch of updates in one post…

Okay so I have been very very busy… So I wanted to take a minute from the busyness and post a bunch of updates…

School:

It’s over!!! Well for the next couple of weeks… The ending of a semester is always fun, because I am done with those classes forever!!!

I am going to summer school (May 19-June 6 and June 30-July 30). I wanted to get some math classes out of the way.

Home:

Well my brother is OFFICIALLY a MARINE!!! I am very very proud of him. He left on Tuesday morning (0140) to go to Marine Combat Training and I already miss him. I won’t get to see him again until July 4th weekend.

Church:

Well, Pastor Joey resigned a couple of weeks ago, so I have been helping out more with the service planning and stuff. It’s been really fun though. I have been gotten to really know more of the Arts Leaders and other great people in the church.

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit. I recently challenged all of the Technology/Media Leaders to recruit 1 person a month for the next 4 months. If we can all accomplish this goal, that would be almost 40 new people in ministry. I personally have been recruiting and so far have about 6 new people in ministry, all of which are great people and very talented. I am sooo excited about this new department initiative.

Willow Creek Arts Conference 2008, I am going!!! YEH!!! I am really excited that I am going. Coming this year with me is Tori (Media Production Team Leader) and Marty (Music Director), we are all ready to learn and suck in all the information we can. As a side note: If you are going to the Arts Conference and want to meet up shoot me a comment back and maybe we can do coffee or something, I really want to network and meet other media/technology people.

Well that’s all the updates I have for now… Thanks for taking the time to read my post and looking at my blog…

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

I say NO, NO, NO to Google Custom Time

So I recently began hearing about Google Custom Time…

Here’s the skinny:

New! Gmail Custom TimeTM

Pre-date your messages
You tell us what time you would have wanted your email sent, and we’ll take care of the rest. Need an email to arrive 6 hours ago? No problem.Mark as read or unread
Take sending emails to the past one step further. We let you make emails look like they’ve been read all along.Make them count
Use your custom time stamped messages wisely — each Gmail user gets ten per year.

Worry less
Forget your finance reports. Forget your anniversary. We’ll make it look like you remembered.

I SAY NO, NO, NO to Google Custom Time… I think this is 100% inappropriate…

I can not even believe that Google would come up with this… Are they going to allow their employees to use the feature??? Would be interesting to know…

I SAY NO, NO, NO to Google Custom Time…

First ever sell for Impact Arts!!!

Well it is official Impact Arts Media made its first ever sell of a media.

This was a very exciting moment for me and the group.

We work really hard on our medias, we do this because we want EXCELLENCE for our church but now other churches see our medias as valuable and worth buying.

THANKS so much to all the RCC Media Teams who help put together this AWARD WINNING and now SELLABLE medias.

If you are interested in purchasing one of our multimedias, please e-mail AnthonyBurns@RCC-Impact.com.
