Celebrity Apprentice and IOWA Caucuses

So I was watching TV on Thursday Night, it was the debut of “The Celebrity Apprentice”.

I think I am definately going to watch this show this season… It was really cool to see the celebrities using their contacts for CHARITY!!! I was not happy to see “Tiffany Fallon” go because she has a huge asset that could have be useful in the future, Hugh Heffner… I think that Omarosa should have gone… She just did not lead the team well… Who really tells celebrities not to use the celebrity and bring in the money???

Anyways while I watching that the IOWA Caucuses results were coming in…

Looks like Huckabee got the Republican Bid and Obama got the Democratic Bid…

That was kinda unexpected… Atleast with Huckabee everyone thought that Romney had it tied up…

Well I guess we are officially in the CAMPAIGN FOR THE WHITE HOUSE 2008…

Leno and others back to work…

So I was watching TV on Wednesday night… It was about 11:30PM and Leno is on TV…

He apparently went on with his show even without writers… All he talked about for the first 15 minutes was how he could write, the writers, and more about the writers…

Here’s a article I found online about the Writer’s Strike: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/business/la-fi-ontv3jan03,1,1419162.story?coll=la-headlines-business-enter

I do have to say that Leno was kind of dry and not as funny… Just hire back the writers and give them more money not like Leno needs anymore money…

It’s Snowing!!!

It’s snowing in Richmond, VA. I think this fall has been the weirdest season I have ever seen. It has been hot enough to wear shorts and then freezing cold the next day.

Today, it’s snowing but they are planning on a heat up by the weekend…

NBC and TiVo

NBC and TiVo are teaming up to see how many people skip those horrible commercials… This is a huge step for NBC since they are the first to get in on this deal…

Here’s the article I picked up:

BOSTON, Nov. 27 (Reuters) — NBC Universal has agreed to use ratings data and other advertising products from TiVo, the digital video recorder company, becoming the first major broadcaster to use the company’s advertising services.

The deal will allow NBC to use the ratings data to better track how often audiences skip commercials.

I hope that more broadcasters will look into this… I wish they would just get rid of commercials all together…

NBC acquires “Quaterlife”

You are probably asking yourself what is Quaterlife.

Here’s the article from the NY Times:

NBC has concluded a first-of-its-kind deal to acquire the talked-about new Internet and social network series “Quarterlife” for distribution as an hourlong drama series on the NBC network after it has first played in eight-minute segments on several Web sites.

Ben Silverman, the co-chairman of NBC Entertainment, and Marshall Herskovitz, one of the show’s creators, described the deal yesterday as a revolutionary step in the creation of television entertainment.

Read about it more here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/17/business/media/17nbc.html?_r=1&ref=technology&oref=slogin

This sounds really cool and I look forward to hearing about it more in the future…

Let me know what you think…

Re-runs, Re-runs, Re-runs

Okay so I was watching the news the other night and Jay Leno came on and it was a re-run… I am so sick of re-runs…

When are the writers and the TV companies and Movie companies just going to come to an agreement?

You Tube + Oprah = Huge Numbers

I don’t watch Oprah but I came across this news story from a friend and began looking at more online…

Here’s the article: http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release.do?id=788149

So basically YouTube and Harpo Studios have combined to create an Oprah on YouTube channel…

An organization I work with (High Impact Living) has been requesting a non-profit channel for over 2 months now and still have yet to get it processed… I guess YouTube has other priorities… All we want is the capability to add a header banner on our page… Is that too much to ask for???

Well back to the Oprah YouTube deal… She had the founders of YouTube on her show today where they talked about the popularity of YouTube… They also talked about the “Evolution of Dance” guy and his new video… They even talked about how PDiddy only advertised his new fragerance on YouTube and it has been highly successful…

I believe that YouTube is the future for online videos… They are cool and in right now so get on the band wagon if you are not there yet…
