A bunch of updates in one post…

Okay so I have been very very busy… So I wanted to take a minute from the busyness and post a bunch of updates…

School:

It’s over!!! Well for the next couple of weeks… The ending of a semester is always fun, because I am done with those classes forever!!!

I am going to summer school (May 19-June 6 and June 30-July 30). I wanted to get some math classes out of the way.

Home:

Well my brother is OFFICIALLY a MARINE!!! I am very very proud of him. He left on Tuesday morning (0140) to go to Marine Combat Training and I already miss him. I won’t get to see him again until July 4th weekend.

Church:

Well, Pastor Joey resigned a couple of weeks ago, so I have been helping out more with the service planning and stuff. It’s been really fun though. I have been gotten to really know more of the Arts Leaders and other great people in the church.

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit. I recently challenged all of the Technology/Media Leaders to recruit 1 person a month for the next 4 months. If we can all accomplish this goal, that would be almost 40 new people in ministry. I personally have been recruiting and so far have about 6 new people in ministry, all of which are great people and very talented. I am sooo excited about this new department initiative.

Willow Creek Arts Conference 2008, I am going!!! YEH!!! I am really excited that I am going. Coming this year with me is Tori (Media Production Team Leader) and Marty (Music Director), we are all ready to learn and suck in all the information we can. As a side note: If you are going to the Arts Conference and want to meet up shoot me a comment back and maybe we can do coffee or something, I really want to network and meet other media/technology people.

Well that’s all the updates I have for now… Thanks for taking the time to read my post and looking at my blog…

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Sorry no post in a while…

Hey Media Thoughts Blog Readers…

I have been quite busy with things at the church, so I haven’t been able to blog in a while…

Spring Break is this week so I hope to catch up on some blogging…

On top of that my laptop has been broken and I am still waiting on a HD from HP…

I do want to post some new videos and will be doing that very soon…

Until then please check out old posts or the tons of PDFs I have loaded up…

Thanks for reading my blog and please check back very soon…

Sorry…

Sorry I haven’t posted the past couple of days…

I suffer from migraines… I recently found out my roommate is a smoker… I smelt him smoking in his room… I think this is what is triggering them…

I missed class today, the migraines are sometimes so bad that light, sounds, everything makes them worse…

VCU Brand Center

I read quite a few magazines on a monthly basis about different media and marketing things…

I ran across a really cool article in the most recent issue of “Creativity”…

It was about the new VCU Brand Center (AKA: VCU AdCenter)… They just moved into a new building (near the new Business & Engineering Bldgs)…

Here’s the article…

VCU Brand Center

Some quick thoughts…

So I am buying textbooks today… I have always used the VCU Bookstore but there is another bookstore on campus…

I reviewed their prices and realized all their books are about $20-50 less per book…

Why are books so expensive?

First day back to classes…

Today was my first day back to classes at VCU… I only had one class… The first class was pretty good and I look forward to tomorrow morning…

Today was also the grand opening day for the new Business and Engineering Schools… The Business Bldg is very very cool… I took some pictures (will upload later)…

What a day… What a day…

So today was going great… I was getting some personal stuff taken care of…

Then the phone rang… It was my little brother needing help with his rental car for his car repairs… His license expired so he needed me to run him to DMV… No problem big brother out…

So I get there and he says “Anthony what happened to your rental?”…

When I walked around to his side here’s what I saw… (Click for bigger view)

I could not believe my luck… That someone would hit my rental car and of course leave no information… So I called VCU Police and had to file a report…

VCU Police didn’t want to file a report but after explaining the whole situation… They did a damage report/assessment…

I can’t believe that this happened… The car is still drivable but it just makes me mad someone would do that…

So everyone please be nice to others this Holiday season…
